Chihiro

I’ve quit.

Railgun BDs and Kyou no Go no Ni DVDs are probably going to end up dropped by Chihiro. I have no intentions of picking them up here.

That is all.

China…

Since yesterday, I’ve been in China. Fuck this filtered internet. VPNs don’t work, proxies don’t help (much). And because of this, I can’t make release anything. And that means I won’t be able to get and release the Angel Beats OST when it is released! Same for the K-ON! one! D:

Returning home in about Mid August. In the mean time, I’ll be working on backlog fansub projects.

I want to release…

A new album. But the album is about 4.2GB (lossless). It’s a collection of 10 SHM-CDs, and contains about 12 to 15 tracks per CD.

Here’s my dilemma: How should I release it?

I could release it as a whole set (all 10 CDs) and spend about a month seeding the torrent and maybe longer if I upload it to my XDCC bot.

OR I could release it CD by CD. This is ugrier (since we’ll have 10 archive files for the one album). This will mean I spend a few days seeding each album and then move on to release the next one and leave the swarm to do the seeding.

Post suggestions please!

I broked my laptop

So until recently, I had a VGN-TT25 Sony Vaio. But 2 nights ago, I broke it. I’m sure I’m not the only one who charges their laptop at night after a day of use. Well, like most nights, I plugged my laptop in, put it on my desk and went to bed. However, sometime during the night, my laptop fell off my desk. It landed with the charger port hitting the ground first. As a result, the charger socket is now dislodged. And if that’s not bad enough, the heat generated through charging was so great that it melted the coating around the wire and proceeded to melt the laptop case in that area.

Well, I want to buy a new laptop anyway. Taking recommendations (and donations ;D)

Green Tea Sprite

When Coca Cola made their Spite Tea series announcement, I didn’t even notice it. It wasn’t even in stores in Hong Kong. Only after I ordered pizza from PizzaBox today did I find out about it. And damn. I love it.

A quick Google search produces results of people saying it’s crap. I guess they just don’t love Sprite or don’t love Green Tea enough. Since I eat Japanese food on a regular basis (damn near weekly), I get a lot of Green Tea. It’s my favorite tea, and I think The Coke Company made a great move combining my favorite soft drink (well, until Mountain Dew) with my favorite tea.

Summer Tales

A lot has happened recently. France lost, Australia lost, South Korea lost, North Korea lost, England tied (twice :|), etc. But aside from the World Cup, a lot of stuff have happened as well. I finally got a few TLC projects out of the way (happy now, kureshii?) and cleared about 40 GB of free space! I also bought Mirror’s Edge and Mass Effect on Steam. EA Week FTW!

BakaBT

Some controversy and dorama with a recent announcement that has since been removed. To clarify, I in no way support the venture that is possibly a scam and is owned by someone who is possibly a convicted pedophile.

But that aside, I’ve been having a pretty awesome time at BakaBT. I finally got two long time projects done. The Hayate no Gotoku manga is now uploaded. And at long last. I’m still working on the music collections, and rest assured they will be done! Sometime…

Another project that is finally underway is the Great BakaBT Pokemon Cleanup! With the upload of this torrent, I began yet another project that will take me ages and distract me from all my other projects. Not to mention I still have a Pokemon fansub project that should be happening.

Fansubbing & Such (& Recruitment)

I’ve been getting small projects out of the way until now. I intend to finally finish off the backlog projects I have (Negima AW with AQS, Vampire Bund and Railgun with Chihiro). After I’m done with those, I can finally get to start on my own fansub projects! Chaos Fansubs is currently recruiting, so if you want to join, see the Recruitment link at the top right of this page.

I’m now also part of Fanservice Subs, although I dunno what I’ll be doing. Shunrai and I have coinciding sentiments when it comes to what we want to fansub, so we’re now bros.

In other news, I’ve just joined up with HiNA-Subs to do some doujin scanlation. I think it’s gonna be released as a joint, and I’ll be getting halp on the Chaos Scanlations project from them too, so that’s awesome. But we’re still recruiting!

Chaos Music is still pretty active. I’m working on another collection of music, and I’ll be releasing in both Lossless and Lossy as usual.

However, Chaos Novels is very inactive. I have projects I want to work on but I have no other staff! If you’re interested in translating and/or editing novels, please click the Recruitment link at the top right!

BakaBT is up again

For those of you who aren’t following the BakaBT twitter feed or the Facebook page, you should. But whatever. I woke up this morning to find BakaBT was back online! Great news! I rushed to update the BakaBT twitter and Facebook pages, and as a result, I went into my English exam in a good mood and I think I did quite well as a result :D

Since we’re back up, I have since removed the post below (the one about “How to save an Internet Community”). It’s probably available elsewhere on the intarwebz, but I don’t feel like having it up anymore.

Reach beta…

It’s out. And I’m not playing it ;_;

Not that I would be able to anyway. I’m told you need Xbox Live Gold membership to play it, and obviously I’m the cheap kind of guy who wouldn’t buy it. I don’t really play stuff online anyway, so I’ve never had the need.

And besides, exams…

;_;

First exam begins in 11 hours and 50 minutes….

Karaoke

I’ve just spent the whole afternoon doing online karaoke with my fansubbing buddies over at Chihiro, and it’s epic. I’m not the kind of person who would burst into song and sing it perfectly or anything, but wow, karaoke for the lulz is really fun and amusing.

Archos 5

Anyone who keeps up with my twitter status will know that recently I’ve been pretty obsessed.with the Archos 5, a portable media tablet that rivals and beats the iPod Touch (see the Archos website for technical specs).

Anyone who keeps up with my twitter should also know that I just bought an Archos 5A (Android version) yesterday. Well, I’ve now had the chance to mess around a bit and I am really liking it, although it’ll take a while for me to get used to typing!

Anyways, this post has been brought to you by my Archos (named Mio). Now excuse me while I explore into Mio and neglect my fansubbing.
